Alternately, I could be satisfied with Canada.

There are strategic military reasons why Canada is better off not joining the states. Number one being the nuclear generators that are built in Canada that have been sent into orbit in violation of an international treaty.

Don't forget that last time you Yanks got it into your noodle to invade Canada you got whipped good.

What would you do with all those diamonds, potash oil and uranium? You certainly don't know how to mine them. More Canadians head mining companies in the U.S. than Americans. How would American companies operate in Cuba if if it were not for lax Canadian corporation laws.

Not to mention the best way to bank offshore is via a company with a Canadian address. Most U.S. politicians, lawyers and judges bank offshore so I don't think you'll find a huge cheering section for Canada joining the States.

I will however cast my one vote to give you Quebec.
