Hi Christopher,

I haven't had experience with the particular difficulty you described with files vanishing into thin air. Glad you were able to recover the files. But I can't aid you in how to avoid this consternation in the future.

R.

Chris

I can't imagine what could have happened but rather than use a "blind" left-click drag'n'drop try dragging the file with the right mouse button and when you release it you will get a choice of copy here, move here, create shortcut or cancel. You can also right-click the file you want transferred and choose send to "A". This will send a copy. You can also select copy from the right-click dropdown menu and go to your open floppy window and right-click and paste. Being inherently lazy, I usually choose the send to option...less clicks.
