Right Fred ...CSCO's Chamber's seeing slight
industry "firming" wasn't /isn't enought to sustain
any more of a rally than we've seen , but the market's
likely to try and claw higher on a repeat of that

" no bad news is good news " ( can be negative too)

there will be more bad news out there
coming down the road , but for now with a bunch of
conferences coming up and few other real indicators/news
(NVLS has Mid~Q update on the first) we will just chop
and MM's will be shaking/squeezing/trapping and testing all the way. <g>

like or not we are technology
junkies , but next comes the new ---->* guidance season *
and it will be all chop, shoots and ladders
till they come out with the new spins .

Wireless been hammered pretty soundly , but you have to
love QCOM , TQNT , VTSS, AMCC , PMCS , BRCM
VTSS( the weakest) trying to uptick ...trying to get the
feel now for that sector they might be seeing a slight
upticking in the replacement cycles ,
and/or buildouts..

Still are all overvalued puppies ...but it's a
techno-junkie thing .
You need it ...you gotta have it , etc.

;-)

Mars

* Lots of conferences upcoming:

Looks like QCOM Presenting at Aspen Executive Summit on Enterprise Wireless tomorrow ....and at the SG Cowen Fall Technology Conference: Sep 5 2001 11:00AM.... then presenting at Salomon Smith Barney Tech Industry Conference: Sep 7 2001 11:00AM ....finishing up with a stop off at Lehman Bros Technology Conference: Sep 11 2001 12:00PM

Siebel Systems Faces Big Challenge

By MICHAEL LIEDTKE, AP Business Writer

SAN MATEO, Calif. (AP) - With its sales growth decelerating and its stock depreciating, business software maker Siebel Systems Inc. is facing its first rough patch in eight years of smooth sailing.

Chief executive Tom Siebel says he isn't concerned, predicting that his company will emerge from the adversity stronger than ever as weaker rivals stumble.

``We planned the business around the idea that an economic contraction would come and it's here now,'' Siebel said. ``We are very well positioned to deal with it and to build even a better company as the economy contracts.''

FLEX upped to strong buy at COWN. That PMCS and CNXT have been trending up for a while, charts look up, IMO.
