Toshiba trims 2001/02 chip capex plans Monday August 27, 3:44 am Eastern Time TOKYO, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Japan's biggest chipmaker, Toshiba Corp, said on Monday it would cut its group semiconductor spending planned for the year to March 2002 to 75 billion yen ($624.4 million) from its earlier plan of 140 billion yen.
