A USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll of 734 adults Friday through Sunday shows that 6 in 10 believe Condit was involved in Levy's disappearance. Most also believe that he obstructed the investigation into the former intern's disappearance and is immoral, dishonest and uncaring. Among those who watched Condit's TV interview on ABC Thursday, about two-thirds said they were now more suspicious of him and that he wasn't justified in refusing to answer questions.

One of the goals if socialism is to minimize the effect of the traditional nuclear family. The government has its own social engineering goals which the family is often at odds with. Government socialism has been quite effective at eliminating personal responsibility for our neighbors and even family members. When parents become too old today, most children defer their responsibility to the government and have their parents placed in nursing homes. It is also interesting to note that immigrants with multi-generational families prosper and advance more quickly than others. * * *
