there seems to be a move by mutual funds into extremely-battered large-cap telecom stocks such as LU, NT, JDSU, etc....takes a lot of money to move these but they could be a good indicator of market stability.

Clint I think 650 on the SOX is more important than any number on the NASDAQ. The SOX has been strong ever since it hit a short term bottom.
