Not a chance for Elmer!

Yes, Intel has resorted to simple market strategy -
if your product does not fit an environment, re-define
the environment. It is easy if you have 80% of the
market.

For example, when Intel will manage to put 4 loosely
interconnected cores on a chip,
they will re-define benchmarks again.
Intel will argue that running 4 copies of Word2000 simultaneously is the best way of using a personal
computer. Or playing 2 Quake games simultaneously
with ripping a DVD while playing back a porno clip.
