the economy is in a correction according to our fearless leader. He said that among other things paying down our debt should help us get out of it. Too bad our surplus is no more and debt can no longer be retired because there are no funds to do it with. Under Reagan Keynesian economics was declared dead but used in practice. Anyone ponder as to how effective the rebate may have been? In particular did American manufacturers benefit. The republicans for years have disavowed Keynesian economics because it helped rationalize deficit spending. Look at the front page of todays WSJ. Talk about flip flops.
