as you can tell from the conversation/questions from me this morning on WinMe .... I don't know beans ....

however, on the cable hookup
and
the router
and
the hub ...

maybeeeeee I can help a bit ....

as I have done this operation ... but not with a Netgear OR WinMe. ...
yes, on mine the router took the place of the hub
and in a previous post *(last few days) I went into what I did to get the dialups and the Cox Cable work on the same setup ....

so, I *think* that you should have no difficulty replacing the hub with a router ...

Bob,
You won't need the hub, file and printer sharing won't change.
You also won't need Connection Sharing.
