I missed that post. At this point that would be a silly decision. Gateway isn't going anywhere and the have cash to burn. Besides, Gateway was one of the first companies to sell lots of Athlons (classics). OTOH, I've never been happy with either GTW or AMD about not collaborating on a Duron system. The price difference for Gateway Athlon 1400 vs PIV 2000 is usually around $400, about same as Compaq. PS - SI must be biased towards Intel. In spell check, Athlon and Duron still are not recognized!
