It's not my notion... My question was more of an academic one... How do liberals resolve this apparent discrepancy? i.e., belief in the theory of evolution, combined with heavy subsidization of the poor/weak. After all, when I used to watch Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, there was no notion of "fairness" when one animal hunted down another one... or, do liberals believe that homo sapiens really are a special species after all? i.e., they agree with the "religious right"!
