HI STEFAN. Nice to hear from you. Sounds like you have the right idea, gardening & playing chess(?) !

I have been sticking to day trading when I can. It has been getting harder to make money for a couple of reasons. One is that it has been more difficult to time the market(volatility factor). Question of buying or waiting for lower prices always pops up and getting it right has become increasingly more difficult. I usually try to pick a couple of stocks that may tell me which way the market moves on that day and follow their day trading pattern. Obviously, when things get really out of whack and we're oversold, it is easier to decide what to do. Secondly, it has been more difficult to pick the right (tech) stocks since just about everything is breaking down. I try to look for stocks that are conceived to have better growth prospects in the near term (perhpas have guided earnings higher).

For today, I am watching QCOM. If QCOM comes back, I think the nasdaq could come back as well.
