I happen to agree with your caution that the market is not done going down, and that most paper assets are at risk, infact I suspect all assets are at risk of loosing their value. It is really hard to find anything of value these days. <g>

How did Homestake do from 1929-1932? Would be curious to know how it held its pre-crash value.

I find it hard to believe that gold won't go up under any scenario. CBs have been dumping it for years in favor of the greenback. If the dollar tanks, what are they going to flock to, the Euro?
