uninstall IE5.5

If you were trying to use the repair tool to remove IE5.5 that option isn't available on all configurations. Try add/remove programs.

If you're running WinMe and 5.5 was the original installation the option to uninstall may not be available. Here's a link to 5.5SP2 if you don't have the latest version. This install may fix any problems you are having.

If neither of these options improves your IE performance I'd go ahead with the ver 6.0.
