Positive sentiment tricking down to competitors VRTA (+8.7%) and CNXT (+2.5%), as well as DSL equipment maker Copper Mountain (CMTN +4.1%) and ADSL technology company Aware Inc (AWRE +9%).

11:25 ET Alcatel (ALA) 17.46 -0.04 (-0.2%): Announces 3-yr agreement to provide BellSouth (BLS) with a wide array of DSL network equipment. The agreement also includes provisions for the purchase of customer premises equipment.

Looks like there is still demand for DSL.
No wonder Siemens paid 1.6 Billion in cash to acquire Efficeint Networks even after the tech bubble had burst.
