What is in store for telecoms vendors?
Marconi will go under. Alread wrote off Fore its ATM business. It will not see next Summer.

Alcatel is a question mark. Very uncertain future. Has to try hard to find merging partner. Still to write off lots of unwise acquisitons.

Nortel will merge with Lucent and retroceed to the North American market.

Ericsson can't go alone until the next purchase cycle begins. Will merge.

Nokia will merge or will be alone to become -for telecoms- what Apple Computer is today for computers.

Motorola will go under.

NEC and Siemens will morph into something else.
