Agreed, it's just that the oil sector is so damned cyclical; I can’t help but confusing bull/bear--bubble/bust. :0) I think if governments weren't so careless with economic policies, commodities would be properly priced without the extreme volatility we've seen these past few years. It's been profitable for the few that recognize demand for oil by the growth numbers in a boom cycle, and the contraction of growth in a bust.

I'm hoping after this "probable" multi-year gold bull, that it will allow me to shift gears and invest in some of the base-metals (copper and aluminum) plays, along with tech and another bull/bear--bubble/bust cycle in oil. That's the theory, anyway...

By the way, my definition of a precious metal is that chunk of Ø6"-4140 NACE spec, I've had on order since March, Corus Metals can't seem to make the stuff fast enough.
