Intel will likely get sucked into a red hole with them.

The only red hole around here is the one you get your information from.

Jim,

Re: "AMD is really gonna sell a lot of chips...unfortunately at low
ASPs though. Intel will likely get sucked into a red hole with them."

Intel will have much higher ASPs as they continue to hold the MHz
lead. Do you think AMD will "eek one out" in Q4? <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef

SiS 735 will run 333 FSB Athlons theinquirer.net

Mad Mike Magee has had a lot of stories about SiS and the 735's takeup, but this is maybe the most interesting yet.

According to sources at the firm, future Athlons will use a 333MHz front side bus (166 x 2), the next logical step for the AMD chip.

The SiS chipset will support such a processor but for some reason little SiS doesn't want to talk about this too much because of its unannounced nature and features. Even though we've just announced it for SiS and AMD.

SiS735/ECSK7S5A/Athlon 1.4ghz/266 + fan combo is down to $169 on pricewatch today.
