I sent this as a PM to one participant over the weekend:

"The collapse of Communism forced the 'good' guys system to be kept alive for a while so that they could say there was a winner of the Cold War. Now that this is behind the 'winners' can collapse too, since no one will make the connection."

The sat business provides me with a proof of this statement:

Russia's MIR station fell to earth in beautiful meteor-like fireworks.

Iridium was supposed to provide us with such wonderful fireworks too.

But the Russians do not have the pleasure to see this. It is there being kept aloft with tax payers money.

The lesson for us investors is clear:

"DO NOT INVEST IN ANY BUSINESS OR TECHNOLOGY THAT DID NOT CUT ITS UMBILICAL CORD WITH THE DEFENSE ESTABLIHSMENT"

We will have to wait a while for the fireworks.

If I would be a rocket scientist I would close this posting saying: "What goes up must come down."
