Among the companies on the schedule this afternoon are MU, LRCX, LSI, AMCC, NVLS, KLAC. 07:31 ET Texas Instruments (TXN) 36.00: Speaking in Taiwan, company's COO said TXN is beginning to see improvement in the wireless space as inventories clear. Notes that this improvement in demand is against a very soft and weak technology spending. 07:47 ET Altera (ALTR) 30.22: Salomon Smith Barney previews tomorrow's mid-quarter update; says a number of factors suggest that business is on track to meet Altera's original sales guidance of down 15%-20% -- which would probably be received positively by investors at this point.
