Hi Jeff

, isn't that a doji after a long white candle on the nas chart signifying a top might be forming?

Yes it is;

Doji is a fairly general term as it is applied to candle sticks depending what you are looking for; a potential top or a potential bottom.

This is the post that I made that you responded to and you were on target with your candle read.

A spinning top looks like many other candles but the bottom line is that it is seen as a probable momentum shift point; i.e. an intra-day move up, and intra-day down, the close is about the same as the open. Investors are undecided.
Confirmation is made by the following days open, lower or higher plus the close on that day two.
