Would have been more spread over 25 years right?? Some folks may not think they HAVE 25 years, and it does not carry over to relatives, correct?

Of course, the reason FOR the lottery is to fund government, and they get the biggest cut coming and going...nice deal.

DMA,

They don't figure it that way. They take the $295 mil, deduct the interest it would be expected to earn in 25 years, and then divide by 4. Naturally, they overestimate the expected interest, but even so, the news last night said that the cut for the man from Kentucky would be a little over $40 mil. I don't know why the woman from Wisconsin would receive less.
