<Only people I have ever seen at these meetings are old folks looking for free donuts and cookies or trouble makers wishing to shoot their mouths off. There is NOTHING that can be accomplished at an annual meeting in person that cant be accomplished by participating on the internet. <

In general, you are quite right. But, have you ever been to a shareholders meeting of a company whose management is in trouble, where there are organized stockholders who want them out? I've been to the last two CA shareholder meetings and they were actually pretty interesting, lots of sparks, defensive, insulated management trying to hold onto the golden goose that's made them unbelievably wealthy at the expense of the owners of the company.
