On the other hand, AIDS victims DO carry many communicable diseases too. Tuberculosis for instance.

True, but it's not like combating the plague. One can't get it by sharing a cab with someone who is infected.


True, but it's not like heart disease, either, which you can't get from anyone, except perhaps your parents through your genes.

If AIDS spreads far enough, it could present a national security problem, which would make it the legitimate business of the government.
