DMA,

The people of each state vote whether to have a lottery, or not. Talk to them about it. If they didn't want it, they wouldn't have it.No state government shoves it down their throats. There are hundreds, or thousands, of ways people can waste their money, but you seem to have tunnel vision against the lottery. It seems obvious that you, in some way, have been hurt by the lottery. If you want to complain about all of the ways people are foolish with their money, and all the ways states sponsor bad policies, complain about them all. Don't pick on just one.

I can take, or leave, the lottery. If anyone wins, or loses, it is no skin off my nose. If anyone plays, or not, it is no skin off my nose. Why does it scrape your nose raw?It is not your objection to the lottery that I question, but your extreme anger about only one of such things when there are so many others that are just as bad, if not worse. It is, certainly, not worth us arguing about.
