**Today is the first day I ever saw the name Confidence Board associated with the consumer confidence number. Does anyone have any information about the Confidence Board company, and has their number been the only published consumer confidence number, or have there been others?**

This is probably a typo-the number is published by the Conference Board, a private consulting group. The U. of Michigan School of Business used to also publish a number, not sure if they still do or not.

The bonds continue their sloooowww decline, day after day, point after point. They are now at the lowest I've ever seen quoted -- the low 60s. The fact that the bonds continue to slide day after day is troubling and is nothing like the last time the bonds took a dive earlier in the year. At that time they rebounded very quickly.

It looks like the bonds are pricing in a debt downgrade. The 2006's have a YTM of 20%.
