It's a ruse. I went to east coast boarding schools and Ivy League college. It's about as far from the Texas state of mind as you can get. The shocking thing is Bush didn't seem to learn much from all those years of intellectual training. How many years did Bush Sr. live in Midland? Not very many. He was a Connecticut-Maine-DC man gravitating somewhat to Texas for the oil money. He was CIA chief, Ambassador to China, in congress from Connecticut. So you telling me he left poor little GW to live in Midland all those years? Bush is from Midland the way Hilary C is from New York.
