Inc. and Orion Telecom Operating Corporation

Business Editors/Technology Writers

SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 2001--BIFS Technologies
Corporation (NQB:BIFT) announced today that as part of an established
strategic alliance with eCom eCom.com, Inc. (OTCBB:ECEC), it has
arranged for a collaborative business venture between eCom and Orion
Telecom Operating Corporation (OTOC, a privately owned company). Under
the agreement eCom and OTOC plan to integrate eCom's DryIce(tm)
compression utility, along with various broadband wireless delivery
systems, to achieve a comprehensive bundled services package that will
provide high-speed Internet connectivity to selected markets
throughout the U.S. and abroad. Pursuant to the mutual agreement
between BIFS and eCom, both companies will share in the profits from
the venture. BIFS Technologies Corporation will make available both
its SWOMI wireless and TV+ Internet broadband systems as the wireless
platforms that will provide Internet service delivery in support of
the endeavor with Orion Telecom.
Al Keyser, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BIFS
Technologies Corporation commented on the announcement by stating: "I
am delighted by this arrangement between OTOC and eCom. The agreement
facilitates a partnership arrangement that provides the necessary
components to support the global deployment of all our advanced
technologies and to broaden the market reach of all three companies.
Throughout the past year, the three companies have intentionally
refined their technological approaches to facilitate the cost
effective deployment of broadband Internet services, mass storage, and
data transfer and have deliberately developed a business model that is
specifically designed to avoid the mistakes encountered by our
competition. This fundamental approach, combined with the practice of
selective deployment, and combining intellectual assets, we believe,
assures the long-term viability of our companies, initiates a
substantial recurring revenue stream for all three companies, and
responsibly protects the investments of our shareholders. As we
continue to carefully `build' our businesses over the years to come,
we look forward to a rewarding and prosperous partnership between
OTOC, eCom and BIFS."
