Jock, at least over the last cycle and at least as far as LSI is concerned, your approach and my approach were similar. I got in during the early 90's, missed the peak in 1995, learnt my lesson and got out last year.

The only problem that I see in getting back in now is that the techs seem to have blown up. In this context, I am reluctant to get in to LSI because it might be, rightly or wrongly, painted with the same brush. If it gets down to single digits, then maybe I will take a look at it again.

I agree that optimists like Addi will have their day, but only if they sell! Falling in love with a deep cyclical is the surest way to ensure sub-standard returns. That was the point behind my observation that over the last 6 years, LSI has lost to the mattress.
