Yes, "a fine musician, and I might say, a fine-looking guy," CNBC just commented. If INTC, CSCO and AJC can't give the market a boost, Michael Jackson certainly can. I wonder whether he'll bring his pet chimp. One needs to weigh all the news in this tricky market. The chimp factor cannot be overestimated.

When you said MJ, I thought Michael Jordan. In the past, there has been an MJ index including the companies he represents McD, Nike, Worlcom, Hanes, Ballpark, etc.

He came out of college in 1983, first retired in 94, covered the bull market, came back in 95, it resumed, then retired in 98. Of course, that's when the correlation stopped.

During that time, he played for the Bulls. He may return now but for the Wizards. I guess we need some magic and hocus-pocus for this market to not get real ugly.

If he does return, that will be a market bottom! <g>
