But, there isn't any evidence to suggest that homosexuality isn't *natural*.

stick a fist in your butt and see if it feels natural...

look at the US stats...why is aids growing 10 times faster in the drug and homo communities than any other?

Before you jump on me, I do believe we ALL have a responsibility to stop it now, we can look at Africa and see that hiding our heads won't do the trick.

We aren't talking about the world, though. We're talking about the US. We're talking about US medical research dollars. And Howard Gann was a resident and citizen of the US.

As far as it being a self inflicted wound...despite every effort by those who would control the behavior of others, they have been entirely ineffective in stopping the most basic human drive to have sex, whether hetero or homo.
My understanding is the disease was in fact having quite an effect on both heterosexual and homosexual behavior. It is spreading again because gays believe it is no longer a short death sentence, but a long one.

Do you think that the medical community should have ignored the other sexually transmitted diseases out there like Gonerrehea(sp?), chlamydia(sp) and syphyllis? After all, those were spread by heterosexuals engaging in known dangerous activities.
Ah, but the victims of those diseases are not trying to glom onto every available medical research $$$. I'm not saying don't try to find treatment and cure; I'm saying it should getting funding proportionate to its prevalence and NOT to the pressure its victims can bring to bear. Someone who has cancer will be JUST as dead.

And those flu and chickenpox victims know that they are engaging in a dangerous activity when the go near other people. They have the options of being shut-ins
Has quarantining of people with contagious diseases stopped? I believe not.

Do a little research and find out which demographic group has the highest rate of increase of AIDS incidence. AIDS doesn't need "them" to become a crisis.
In the US? My understanding is the by far the largest proportion of victims are homosexuals and drug users.

And if they don't contract and spread the disease, how shall it spread in the US?
