Tony, seems like an AMD admission of defeat on 2 accounts: a). AMD's processors will not be able to come close to Intel's with respect to MhZ anytime soon b). AMD might be losing mkt. share to Intel in the retail space. Not good for AMD to be spending money on mkting with projected losses for the forseable future... Joey

CNBC just had a little blurb about AMD planning to come out with an ad campaign in the fourth quarter saying Megahertz isn't everything; their processors do some things faster regardless, etc. Yeah, when do I get my royalty check from Jerry? Not holding breathe...these guys are a year late..and a few marbles short in the marketing game. RE:"Let's see if they do a better job than the train commercial with the fat (I mean weight challenged) guy, the waitress and the cleavage shot (or were the last two the same woman? I forget.)." They will have to be clever so I see little chance. LOL I suggest they expedite Hammer...and help nVidia. Maybe buy back some stock with their own d$mn money. (BODs) Jim
