Ted,

Any free publicity on the subject of frequency vs. performance is good publicity. I think the announcement of future marketing campaign on the subject in itself will create some articles in trade publications, which may weigh even more than the marketing campaign itself.

Of course the timing of this "announcement would have been better either prior to the releas of 2 GHz chips or after the release of 1.5 GHz Palomino, so that there would be good data supporting AMD position.
