How many examples can we give like this and where will it end?


I wasn't suggesting that DOD start funding AIDS research. Or shoe production. I was merely arguing that, from the perspective of the core business of government, there was a remote justification for funding AIDS research. OTOH, there is no justification for funding research for prostate cancer or heart disease.
