Good legal points. Sure too promisory on the price target--easily corrected on the touts part. I see it as hype and would hope that everybody would see that too. There's a lot of wiggle room on the baseless side of things, where a fancy lawyer could defend just about anything there. That particular stock if I recall is trading at $3 with a target of $6.

Hope your vacation is relaxing. I have a couple of unrelated questions. I've never traded any OTC/BB stocks. Are those issues over $5 normally marginable/shortable? The other question is whether you have any experience with so called channel checks--you know calling up all of a companies suppliers and asking them about orders they've received for parts, components, raw materials etc and also calling the entire distribution chain to find out about inventory levels, order backlogs etc. Obviously such checks are A-Okay because such suppliers and distributors are not technically company insiders. My question is if Joe Schmo tries to mimick such a channel check, what happens? Do suppliers and distributors expect payment for such information, which I assume is legal.
