I'll buy when it forms a strong base, gets to a better valuation or goes up on good news. What I mean is that I don't mind buying it at 12.11 if it means that there is a reason for jdsu to stop falling.

If it bases here, then fine. It will probably base for months if not years. There is no hurry to buy it. It's dead money until it forms a base most likely and I would rather buy stocks at good valuations or trade stocks in ranges.

Why buy jdsu now? Just to say I bought within $5 of the bottom? Not a good enough reason.

BTW. There are many stocks trading for less than the cash they have. Jdsu has less than $2 per share in cash. I don't know if it will get that low, but I'm not going to take my chances and see if it might just do it.

If jdsu goes under 7.01 then it's not available for margining other stocks at my broker. I don't know if that is true at other brokerages, but if it is, and it breaks $7 there is going to be forced selling and the buyers will dry up. I have no use for dead money at the moment.
