Yo Brah,

Howzit?

LOL! Good one, brudda. Ranks right up there with the campaign plank espoused by an Alaska Governor's race candidate a few years back who seriously proposed using tactical nuclear devices to clear the glaciers from South East Alaska so a proper highway could be built. Amazingly, he actually got a few thousand votes.

Re: In deed it was the use of B52 saturation techniques against the manufacturing centers in Hanoi that finally convinced the North Vietnamese that it was in their best interests to agree to an end to the conflict.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. For years I'd thought that we vamoosed from Viet Nam because the North Vietnamese had won. I see the error of my ways, now. I'm deeply appreciative of your insights.

BTW, Yorrike, what in the world sparked you to respond to my post? I'm still not certain if you have one of the world's great dry wits, or a reason to consider therapy. You've been away from your Led Kapaana CD's for too long. Chill, dude. Catch a wave. <g>

R.

Fascinating to encounter online a member/supporter of the They, normally we just see Their contrails far above and hear in the distance the thup thup thup thup of Their guido&vinnie enforcer patrols, though there have been extended periods of history during which certain of the best and brightest of Their spawn migrated to what remains of our independent paradise in search of freedom and righteousness, most notably last the freedom from conscription into Their war against the independence movement of a long-enslaved people on the other side of the planet, in fact it was from one of these spawn, now a newspaper editor here still trying to overcome the indoctrination of his early years while being 'raised' within sight of the Hormel plant, that i learned my first clues as to what exactly might be that pink stuff all ground up in those little square cans, and the precise distances between that geographical point, New Haven, and Hibbing, and the relationship therein.

The frankenfood has already invaded this fair land, btw - Monsanto put out a 'canola' that takes over, spreads on the wind, pretty soon we can sell no rapeseed to europeans, however our reaction is on its way, we are sending a member of the tribe to skool for to learn Their legal system, and saving up to buy a champion lobbyist group of our own down there ... this may take some time, judging from the reaction to our floating the 'pro bono' suggestion.

Funny though, how They would smite us and their captive consumers with this Smoot-Hawley stuff right at this point in the economic cycle, does history rhyme or what, eh
