Hi Colin,

Surfin' at all hours again, huh?? Good to see you're around.

Nice tool - I built something like it in excel some time ago, but after using it for a while I developed a feel what the trade should be - still use the spreadsheet occasionally to check on things tho.

Has anyone looked into the change in rules occasioned by the designation of "pattern day trader" - NYSE adopted this week and NASDAQ will do so end of next month. There are some pros and cons to the market, but for the individual there are some hidden issues, like being given double the current margin buying power (margin necessary if you short), which could wipe out an account really fast if one isn't careful. And for some, the $25K minimum account equity size will eliminate keeping multiple accounts - I may close a couple that I've kept for backup purposes lest I get nailed as a PDT.

This thread seems pretty quiet, so perhaps some discussion of other than stocks to trade might start something. Or one can watch some of the following tomorrow: CPTL, KCIN, LTRX, MTWV, PRCS, REMC, SLNK, USPH. I'm mostly doing intraday movers with >1M volume like KLAC, NVLS, QLGC, TARO. Best of luck to all, be nimble. The NAZ downtrend line I posted a couple weeks ago is still intact (reversed right on it today). DJI has one too.

Peace and Justice --- Patrick
