That's why I limited my observation to the bull market. I, too, suspect that a textbook five wave decline of large degree may finally unfold. With the standard sentiment gauges never reaching levels seen at the major bull market lows, my caution is at all time highs. In the bull market,I Iimited my purchases mostly to tech stocks that had a history of sequential earnings growth. Gave up on finding any of those a year ago. Prices for my old favorites in that category, like ALTR, XLNX, MXIM and LLTC, are at least twice as high as I'd like to see for purchase even if sequential growth commenced today. A NAZ 1400 and SOX 400 might get prices down to reasonable levels.
