That’s what I like about Lieberman. Not afraid to take the tough moral stands. What other democrat in Washington would dare come out and oppose sex with minor girls? God Bless him. I hope he’s strong enough to weather the abuse sure to be heaped on him by his colleagues for taking this uncompromising, judgmental stand against sex with minor girls.

Truly the conscience of his party.

Your article forgot to mention that Bridgeport mayor Joseph Ganim is a Democrat. Bridgeport and Waterbury have been corrupt for years. They'll never get rid of mob influence in either of those towns.

Of course Giordano is a hack, the GOP in Connecticut loves Lieberman.

Dear Mr. P: "The two-term senator tied the accusations against Giordano, who is held in an undisclosed prison on charges of soliciting sex from a minor, to political scandals involving Bridgeport officials and U.S. Rep. Gary Condit, D-Calif"

I dont know this fellow, but I agree any politician guilty of breaking the law OUGHT TO BE FIRED. Hell, they would be fired in private industry, why should they get a pass in Govt? JDN

The guy's obviously a pervert and has agreed to relinquish his power in exchange for half his salary until the end of the year. Then he's out.

Most dem perverts would try to stick around. Remember Gerry Studds? Mel Reynolds?
