Tony, re: You were commenting about the AMD Athlon 1.4 GHz possible plan to be marked as a Model 1600. You must mean too bad, from an Intel, or AMD investor perspective? I meant that if this marketing scheme got off the ground, the average consumer would be so confused he would never buy an AMD PC, so it would be good for Intel investors. re: So you really think it could be a marketing disaster? Oh yeah. They want to redefine the value/cost perception for the consumer. And they are going to abandon MHz as a system measurement in the meantime. Give them a $10 billion ad budget and five years and I wouldn't give them a 50/50 probability. John
