Another small indication that the Hammer will be largely based off of the Athlon core instead of being a brand new design completely from scratch.

I meant that if this marketing scheme got off the ground, the average consumer would be so confused he would never buy an AMD PC, so it would be good for Intel investors.

Oh yeah.

They want to redefine the value/cost perception for the consumer. And they are going to abandon MHz as a system measurement in the meantime.

Give them a $10 billion ad budget and five years and I wouldn't give them a 50/50 probability.
