Hi Chip,

Be Gone and they'd have moved on to other adventures....!

Here's one. I particularly relish the irony of the Drill & Spill Club's efforts to nurse along enabling legislation to tap the marginal natural gas (NG) well potential of eastern Wyoming. A classic battle is shaping up between largely Republican ranchers (who don't make big campaign contributions) versus the largely Republican NG Exploration and Production) E&P club (who do). The CH4 in the region is closely associated with a nasty brine that must be disposed of on the surface, in order for the wells to pay. For the sake of a few days worth of NG, the plan is to despoil the grazing lands, aquifers and streams of the region for decades. Seems a fair trade-off, eh? <w> The Big Tent Party may just pull itself apart at the seams if it keeps going down the present yellow brick road. I'm hoping, anyway. <bg>

Cheerio, Ray
