I support campaign finance reform.

Personally, I believe it would hurt democrats more than republicans.

I'm not against campaign finance reform either. But you should recognize that campaign finance reform, will tilt the advantage to rich candidates even more than is the case now. The economic demographics of the members of Congress will shift, to greater and greater personal wealth.

While laws can be passed limiting the contributions a campaign receives, I don't believe they will ever be able to limit the amount a person gives to his own campaign.

Since there are as many rich Democrats as their are rich Republicans, this shouldn't change the Party balance too much. But it will shift the perspectives that the members of Congress have.
