Are you serious? People were urging a woman to jump? Personally, I think that the self-destructive behavior is caused by "nurture" rather than "nature". And I think that the cause and solution are based in the home. Parents need to be active in building their children's lives and building their self esteem. I can't believe that how are children turn out is a complete crap shoot. I think that where the parents provide the most influence is in the instilling of values and self esteem. And I believe that when parents have failed to do this, it is manifested in self destructive behavior.
