sb >>local Walmart employees should know what grade of pulp is used to make the various toilet tissues they carry <<

This is not a good analogy at all. They carry tens of thousands of items, TP is a minor item, and no one expects a wallmart employee to know pulp grades. A cell phone is a technology item and it is the only thing they sell at the VZ store. One can expect the salesman to tell you what differentiates their service from others, and that includes the handsets.

Feelings.........Not a problem. I have neither the time nor the inclination to do an in depth survey as to "what % of wireless users care about the acronyms underlying the technology of their gadgets." I suspect that most don't?

Perhaps you could provide the thread with that information?

In the mean time I will continue to seek answers to my questions, either here or at the Verizon store if you don't mind?

Do forgive me for hitting a sore spot!
