Dell has won the PC war. GTW, Micron, CPQ, HWP, IBM are all toast. They have the best manufacturing, support, advertising, reputation. They will continue to win an increasing percentage of a stagnant (for now) market. I have a Micron PII 266, a real relic, but with cable modem and 128 ram, it hums just fine for my needs. I've been tempted to jump to a P4, and with prices under a grand, getting tempting. if only i had some money left in my stock account :(
I would buy DELL for a long term hold. the tech stocks that are worth holding for long term, in my opinion, are, in the following order: MSFT, AOL, INTC, DELL, CSCO, - I would include SEBL and INTU in that list, but I don't consider them tech in the sense of the others. larry
