Its good to see the efforts put into this finally coming into public view.

That's the nature of the embedded business, where so much activity takes place but is not visible to the public, because the vendors (in this case WindRiver) cannot talk about it until "the time is right".

Re the handsets, let me add a little info. The OSs in the handsets will be supplied mostly by Access, Aplix, and eSol. All of these use uITRON compliant kernels (pronounced "micro-I-Tron"). Matsushita may use Epoc, but with Symbian falling apart, this remains to be seen.
