OT - "Maxed Out"

For those who like to follow consumer credit and spending analysis, here's one of the better articles I've read lately that reviews and comments on our current situation:

RE: "I know you use some TA but what kind? I couldn't believe you started shorting at the trendline from Dec. Do you see the huge triangle AMAT is forming? Which ever way she breaks should be huge."

ex-Dilbert, I use a combination of TA, FA, current events, gut feel and luck. In other words, I rely on as much information as I can get my hands on without focusing too much on any single indicator. I've selected the SCE sector because of my industry experience. I've selected AMAT because they're the sector leader, a great company and a stock I plan to own going into the next up-cycle.

I don't use any particular "kind" of TA, however, almost every day I log-on to one of the various charting sites on the net and run through as many combinations of time frames, frequencies, comparisons, and indicators as time allows. I also try to watch as much daily trading activity as possible. There's nothing special or unique to my approach as far as I can tell.

RE: "Do you see the huge triangle AMAT is forming? Which ever way she breaks should be huge."

I think it's important to keep in mind that AMAT has a history of displaying amazing strength when least expected. It's a wild card in any analysis (IMO).
