Albert, first Otellini never said that 10GHz would be available in 2010. He has previously said by 2005-06, and all press releases I have seen besides yours agree with this. It indicating a life span of the micro-architecture of 5-6 years, similar to the Pentium Pro. You might want to consider the possibility that your publication has made a typographical error.

Second, Otellini's "Beyond megahertz" campaign was done in order to introduce other enhancements to the micro-architecture that can benefit what people are looking for in their PCs (like Hyperthreading, Banias, 3GIO, USB 2.0, Serial ATA, etc). He has never said that you should buy a Pentium 4 because it has higher megahertz. You really ought to actually watch the keynote, rather than making assumptions that turn out false.
