I can. It is easier to digest than amd going with ev6 and yet it proved to be the right choice.
Are you sure about the size and/or design? It seems to me that with larger cache and extra processor Sledge should be more than 2x of claw.

That's why Claw is going to by far dominate K8 sales. I don't think we'll really see much of Sledge in 2002.

AMD will be competing with the Claw against Northwood, if it can. Mind you, that's a huge question mark, but let's at least wait and see what they say at the µPForum. Personally, I do not think that K8 will only be a K7 with 64-bit extensions and SSE2. I'm not even going to guess at what it could be (well, maybe I'll do that later), but I'm content with the possibility of there being nontrivial differences.

No, it doesn't. Pentium 4 will not support MT. Only Xeon will for the foreseeable future.
